Escalation of Care

We value patient safety above all else. Patients, families or carers have a right to further escalate their concerns and we encourage you to raise any concerns as early as possible.

Are you concerned or worried?

Escalation of care is a communication process that enables you as a patient, carer or family member to share your concerns with us. 

Our staff are responsible for responding to your concerns in an appropriate manner and time frame.

If you have serious or immediate concerns about your health, please follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Talk to your nurse or doctor
  2. Ask to speak to the Nurse Unit Manager / Hospital In Charge. They can be contacted through 1800 88 4767
  3. If you are not satisfied with the response ask to speak with the Executive on call
