Celebrating Mental Health Week 2025

Healing Through Expression: Free Therapy Sessions

Throughout the week, the clinic is offering free art therapy, music therapy, and meditation sessions, open to all. These experiences invite participants to explore their inner worlds, reduce stress, and discover new ways to support their mental wellbeing. In addition, professional education workshops are being held to foster understanding and reduce stigma—because mental health is everyone’s business.

The Blue Tree Project: A Symbol of Awareness

One of the most powerful moments of the week is our participation in the Blue Tree Project. By painting and planting a tree on-site, we join a national movement to raise awareness for suicide prevention. The blue tree stands as a beacon of hope and a reminder that it’s okay to speak up—and that help is always available.

A Regional Commitment to Wellness

Townsville Private Clinic also took part in the Townsville Launch and Consultation Forum for the Joint Regional Wellness Plan, reinforcing our commitment to collaborative, community-driven mental health care across North Queensland. We believe that lasting change happens when we work together—across services, sectors, and communities.

Our 6th Annual Art Exhibition: entries closing soon.

Entries for our 6th Annual Art Exhibition are in full swing and we look forward to a moving showcase of over 60 works—including paintings, poetry, and mixed media—created by individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges. These pieces, contributed by current and former clients as well as community members, offer more than artistic expression—they are windows into resilience, healing, and hope.

This exhibition is more than a gallery; it’s a gathering place. A space where stories are told, emotions are shared, and connections are formed. It’s a reminder that creativity can be a lifeline, and that every voice deserves to be heard.

Why It Matters

Mental Health Week is more than a calendar event—it’s a call to action. At Townsville Private Clinic, we celebrate it because we believe in the healing power of connection. We honour the courage of those who share their stories. We stand with our community in breaking down stigma and building a future where mental health is understood, supported, and embraced.

Whether you're attending a workshop, admiring the art, or simply taking a moment to reflect—we invite you to join us in this celebration. Because when we connect, we heal. And when we create, we thrive.
