Townsville Private Clinic Proudly Sponsors the Wounded Heroes 24 Hour Challenge

Townsville Private Clinic is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the upcoming Wounded Heroes 24 Hour Challenge, taking place on Castle Hill this September.

The event brings together veterans, serving ADF members, families, local businesses and the wider community in support of veterans and Defence families across North Queensland. For our team, this sponsorship represents more than supporting a fundraising event. It reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening the wellbeing of our community and supporting those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.

The Wounded Heroes 24 Hour Challenge aligns closely with these values. It is a powerful demonstration of community, mateship and support, bringing people together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and their families.

We are honoured to stand alongside Wounded Heroes Australia and the wider Townsville community as a sponsor of this important event. We look forward to cheering on participants, connecting with the community, and continuing our efforts to ensure veterans and their families receive the support they deserve.

Because while military service may end, our commitment to supporting those who have served continues.

Dedicated Veteran Mental Health Support

Supporting veterans is a cause we are deeply passionate about. Through our At EASE Mental Health Support Unit, Townsville Private Clinic provides specialised mental health support for military personnel, veterans and first responders, delivering accessible, stigma-free care tailored to the unique challenges faced by those who serve and protect our communities. The service is focused on building resilience, promoting psychological wellbeing and providing personalised support through targeted mental health programs.

As part of this ongoing commitment, we are also preparing to launch Beyond the Uniform, a new veteran-focused mental health day program for former ADF personnel who have transitioned out of Defence within the past two years.

The eight-week psychoeducation program has been developed to support veterans as they navigate the challenges that can accompany the transition to civilian life. Combining evidence-based mental health strategies with an understanding of military culture and lived experience, the program will focus on building resilience, strengthening relationships, developing healthy coping skills and helping participants find renewed purpose beyond service.

Together, At EASE and Beyond the Uniform reflect our broader commitment to ensuring veterans have access to specialised support at every stage of their mental health journey.

Supporting Our Community During the Holiday Season

The holiday season is often seen as a time of joy and celebration, but for many, it can also bring significant challenges. Increased stress, social pressures, and the prevalence of substances can heighten the risks of relapse or lead to the 'Holiday Blues'. At Townsville Private Hospital, we understand these challenges and are committed to providing comprehensive support to our community during this festive period.
