Accommodation

Townsville Private Clinic offers both private and shared rooms. While we make every endeavour to provide you with your accommodation preference, please understand that in certain circumstances, it may be necessary to admit you to a shared room with shared ensuite.

All rooms include a TV, complimentary WiFi and a bedside telephone for local calls. For long distance (STD) or international (ISD) calls, you will need to contact front reception to assist you with making these call.

Patient lounges and seating areas are available in each Ward.

DVA Accommodation

Under an agreement with the Department of Veterans' Affairs, eligible veterans and war widows are admitted to shared room accommodation unless the medical condition requires single room facilities.

If your personal preference is single room accommodation, arrangements should be discussed with hospital staff. Allocation of a single room under these circumstances may require you to meet the extra accommodation cost.

Meals

Our Hotel Services team prides itself on its comprehensive and appetising meal service. All meals are prepared in the hospital kitchen, where we focus on meeting the nutritional needs of all patients. Special dietary needs are catered for, on request.

All meals are served in the hospital dining room unless otherwise directed by your treating team.

Meal services times are:

• Breakfast: 7:30am - 8:30am
• Lunch: Midday - 1:15pm
• Dinner: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

If you would like your visitor or carer to join you, meal vouchers can be purchased at reception. Please arrange meals well in advance, with menu selections made the day before the meal is required.

Morning tea is also served in the communal lounge on each Level.

Housekeeping

Our staff take pride in delivering a high standard of hotel service, through the maintenance and cleaning of all patient areas, rooms and communal areas.

If you have any concerns about our housekeeping during your stay, please speak to your allocated Nurse who will have this addressed.

Parking

There is no onsite car parking available at Townsville Private Clinic.

Street parking is available at a cost of $1 p/hour or $6 for 8 hours.

Please also note that it is a condition of admission to Townsville Private Clinic that patients do not operate any motorised vehicle during hospitalisation. Onsite parking is not available for inpatients. Please try to arrange for a friend, family member or taxi to drop you off on admission to the Clinic.

Alternatively, please make prior arrangements for the vehicle to be removed from the premises after your admission.

Pastoral Care

Religious visits can be arranged on request. Please speak to our hospital staff who will be happy to organise a suitable visit for you.

Staying Active

Patients are encouraged to stay active while under our care. We have a fully equipped gym on site with supervised sessions daily. Patients can also access an accredited Exercise Physiologist, and weekly Yoga and Pilates sessions. Please bring comfortable or active clothing for your comfort when attending these sessions.
