As part of our ongoing commitment to ongoing General Practitioner and Health Professional education, Townsville Private Clinic holds education events throughout the year.

Townsville Private Clinic is committed to raising community awareness about mental health, and educating health professionals about treatment options and referral pathways.

We regularly host information events for health professionals, with attendance certificates and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners' (RACGP) Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Development (QI&CPD) points awarded. This includes in-practice CPD events.

FREE Professional Development Event

Presented by IPAR and Dr Jane Hay

It is with pleasure Townsville Private Clinic invites you to attend an informative and interactive complimentary Professional Development event with IPAR and Psychiatrist Dr Jane Hay.

The focus of this free event will be working with patients to manage the impacts of physical and psychological injuries in the workplace and what you can do as a health professional to maximise existing resources and tools to manage your patients.

Event Speakers

Dr Jane Hay (MBBS, FRANZCP) Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Hay will provide an overview of how a physical injury can turn into a psychological injury and how to best utilise allied health and Occupational Rehabilitation Services to support patients back to health and return to work.

Gavin Lewis (Provisional Psychologist)

Mr Gavin Lewis Psychological Services Team Leader at IPAR will provide further case examples on how you can make the most out of Occupational Rehabilitation Services, case management and treatment collaboration to support you as the treating practitioner.
